The day has finally arrived! The third and final book of my Driscoll Lake Series is now available in eBook format with the paperback version soon to come. I’m happy to see this day arrive, yet sad in a way as it’s time to leave these characters behind. They have become a part of my... Continue Reading →
Hey everyone. Staci Troilo is a frequent visitor to my site. She has a brand-new release, written under a new pen name, D. L. Cross. In The Gate, she delves into the world of Sci-Fi. Please welcome back, Staci, aka D. L. Thanks for inviting me here today. I’m excited to share an excerpt from... Continue Reading →
Two weeks ago, I wrote how a song inspired the opening scene of my upcoming release, Unclear Purposes, the third and final book of the Driscoll Lake Series. The expected release date is May 28 with AIW Press. Today, I’m excited to bring you the cover reveal. If you're familiar with the other books of... Continue Reading →
Okay, last week it was an Eagles' song. This week, I turn to the Beatles for the title inspiration. I promise I don't have a musical theme going here, but it seemed appropriate for what I'm about to ask. The first draft of Unclear Purposes is complete. I sent the final chapters to my critique... Friend and fellow author Staci Troilo has a new book (and a new pen name) coming soon. Look for The Gate by D. L. Cross coming next month!
Ciao, amici! Life’s been busy, and it just got CRAZY. My publisher moved the release date of my new book from October to May 7. May 7! That’s less than a month away! I’ve got so much pre-release work to do. Starting with a cover release. So… ta-da!
It’s it stunning? I’m so excited about it.
Let me back up a step. First, you’ll notice it does NOT say “Staci Troilo” on the cover. We’ve talked about this before, here and there or in passing. I’m writing under a pen name (D. L. Cross) for this series. We can talk more about that later, though.
Second, you’ll note an alien ship on the cover. Aliens, as in sci-fi. It’s not a genre people associate with the name Staci Troilo, which is one of the reasons I’m writing under a pen name. If you’re interested in science fiction and aliens, this…

Friend and fellow author Mae Clair has a brand new release! I promise you’ll love this one.
Today is the book birthday for End of Day, book 2 of my Hode’s Hill trilogy. If you enjoyed book 1, Cusp of Night, you’ll find this one in the same vein. Once again, I’m visiting the small Pennsylvania town of Hode’s Hill, but with a plot whose tentacles reach back to the town’s founding. As in Cusp of Night, I’ve spun two mysteries—one in the the past (taking place in the year 1799) and one in the present. You get two separate mysteries that tie together at the end.
The past is never truly buried…
Generations of Jillian Cley’s family have been tasked with a strange duty—tending the burial plot of Gabriel Vane, whose body was the first to be interred in the Hode’s Hill cemetery. Jillian faithfully continues the long-standing tradition—until one October night, Vane’s body is stolen from its resting place. Is…

Friend and fellow author has a new release coming soon. Preorder your copy now!
Bittersweet. That’s the only way I can describe it. I’m proud to have completed the final installment of the Medici Protectorate series, but I love this world so much, I’m sorry to see it end.
Tortured Soul is the fourth novel in the series. It follows the final member of the Brotherhood (Roberto “Coz” Cozza) and the youngest Medici descendant (Antonia “Toni” Notaro) as they prepare to fight the ultimate battle between good and evil.
The Notaros want nothing to do with their legacy or the power at their disposal. The Brotherhood wants only to keep them safe. And the evil mastermind and the nefarious organization he represents want to use the Medici lineage in their quest for world domination—or kill the girls and their protectors for standing in the way. This fast-paced, emotional journey wraps up in a dramatic way. If you like passion, intrigue, and international mystery…
