Early Meetings, Sunrises, and The Week in Review

I hate having to attend early morning meetings. It’s not the meeting, per se, but the fact I have to be at work an hour earlier than usual. I don’t wake up any earlier but I miss the time I have in the mornings to collect my thoughts. That seems to throw my entire day off.

But there are always silver linings in every cloud. If I hadn’t been on the road earlier, I would have missed a beautiful sunrise. The photo doesn’t do it justice, and it’s a little blurry, but you get the picture. (No pun intended.)

It’s been a busy week at the day job, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. But for now, here are this week’s writing links:

  1. The wee one has been waking us up at the crack of dawn for the past couple of months. I kinda hate dawn now, no matter how pretty those damn colors are 😀

Thanks for the great selection and for including me here 🙂

    1. I understand, Nicholas. I have a cat that thinks I need to wake up at 5:00 a.m. no matter what day of the week it is.

Glad you enjoyed the links, and thank you for always having great content!

  2. That’s a beautiful photo, Joan. The beauty of dawn and dusk never ceases to take my breath away. Such a simple thing, light through water molecules in the air. Yet each one is different and every one is lovely. So glad you shared it (even if you had to be on the road early to do so).

Hope the meeting went well. Thanks for the links, and happy weekend!

    1. Staci, it probably won’t surprise you that I love sunrises and sunsets. As you say, each one is unique. The meeting was fine – short and sweet. At least they’re never boring! Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. That’s a gorgeous photo, Joan. There is something about early mornings that makes everything seem pure and new. Dawn and dusk are my two favorite times of the day, though I don’t often get to see the sun rise. Wishing you a great weekend!

    1. Those are my favorite times also. And I love to watch the pattern of sunrises, how the sun rises farther to the south as we near fall and winter, and vice-versa in the summer. Hope you have a fun-filled weekend!

    1. That happens to me also during the winter months. On a positive note, I had one of those early meetings last winter on the day of the Super Blue Moon eclipse. (Boy that’s a mouthful!)

    1. I have taken some decent ones with my Nikon SLR digital but you’re right. There’s nothing like the real thing. This one through the windshield of the car while traveling down the interstate wasn’t ideal but I at least captured the moment.
