Lisa Burton Talks about Quantum Wanderlust

Hi, everyone! As you probably read, I recently participated in another anthology published by AIW Press. Today, I’m delighted to welcome back Lisa Burton the robot girl. Personal assistant to author C. S. Boyack, etc. Spokesmodel for his books, etc.

Gosh Joan thanks for inviting me over today. I’m pretty excited about a new anthology called Quantum Wanderlust.

This is a collection of thirteen stories, all by different authors, dealing with time travel. Time travel is a standard of science fiction, but it’s also been used in romance, horror, and other genres. I’m excited to see what the other authors came up with. Craig and I already have our copies.

When Craig writes, I download different voices to help with dialog. We go back and forth out at the writing cabin. I usually order some outfits to help me get in the mood. He thinks it’s silly, but it helps when he needs ideas for promotional posters.

Part of my job is to serve as spokesmodel for his stories. That’s why I visit other authors and websites. I also hand out posters to help promote the stories. Craig only has one story in this collection, so we only made one poster. Still, it’s a lot of fun. Your readers are welcome to download it and use it for phone or computer screens if they like.

Craig’s story is called Swift Wings, and we had a blast researching all the little things that went into it. It has a bit of a twist ending, and we hope you’ll enjoy it.

Quantum Wanderlust is available for free at all the popular outlets. I’m not above asking for reviews either. Getting one of these collections off the ground is an effort, so a review really helps. Simple things like sharing this post on social media, or adding the book on Goodreads helps too.

Lisa, it’s a delight to host you again, and thank you for helping promote this book. Craig and I were on the same page as far as titles. My story is called Gold Wings, but my character only travels back to 1943. I know you’re a busy girl, but I want to take time to extend an invitation to visit again.

Readers, here is a bit more about Quantum Wanderlust:

What if you had all the time in the world?

Thirteen authors answer that question with short stories about time travel. Go back in time to right a wrong, forward to see the future. No jump is too large, no method unfeasible, no lesson beyond learning.

  • Visit the past to learn a family secret.
  • See the formation of a future dictatorship.
  • Assume responsibility for weaving the fabric of time.
  • Travel back in time to WWII.
  • Use a family heirloom to solve problems.
  • Wear an inheritance to visit ancestors.
  • Leave a dystopian future for the hope of something better.
  • Make history come true in an unexpected way.
  • Fight evil fairies to protect a chosen angel.
  • Live with the childhood memory of visitors until the day they arrive.
  • Seek medical help for a memory issue and get way more than bargained for.
  • Discover that with great power comes great responsibility.
  • Uncover the secrets of a pharaoh’s tomb and curse.

Do the characters observe or interact? Is the outcome better or worse than the original timeline? Read these stories to learn how far they go, how they get there, and what happens when they return.

The scope is virtually limitless, definitely timeless.

  1. I enjoy seeing Lisa out promoting. She really is a big help.
And what a great perk to get an outfit appropriate for the new story.
If it were me, I would definitely make shoes a priority. You can never have too many pairs.

    1. As I recall, the last time Lisa was here, she was about to embark on a shopping spree with Craig’s credit card. No doubt, she was planning to shop for shoes. Thanks for stopping by, Michele!

  2. It’s great to see Lisa out and about promoting the latest book.
And what a great perk to order outfits related to whatever story Craig is working on at the time. 🙂

  3. Thanks for having Lisa over. I hope it helps get Quantum Wanderlust off to a good start. I’ll share this post everywhere I can.
